We had a party saturday night with our new copies of brawl and had a great time. I love the changes from melee (no wavedashing or L-cancels!) and I’m really enjoying the new characters. Subspace emissary, the new adventure mode turned LONG ASS rpg, I could do without — I suspect this is what delayed the release too, and I vote not worth it.
I played my first online game today. An exciting concept even if it isn’t executed that well. I noticed no lag, so hooray for that. The biggest flaw is the lack of communication available in friend matches — it really needs a lobby and/or meta-lobby where you can see your friends, what they are currently doing, etc etc. It would also greatly benefit from a way to communicate in the character select screen — maybe 10-20 slots you could fill with text and pick from. Also, why does it limit everything to 5 characters? Annoying as hell.
Still, overall an awesome game. If you have a wii, I suggest going out and grabbing it. You can register 64 friends so shoot me a message and I’ll add you.
