Gravitron 2

A friend of mine from Ludum Dare just got his game on Steam! It is an amazingly fun (and devilishly hard!) retro-shooter with an awesome look. At only $5 it is an incredible deal, so go buy it to support him and indie game development. You may also catch my name on the beta testers list :D .

Since it is a steam powered game, Gravitron has achievements you can unlock through the gameplay. Some are easy, like using fuel tanks, and some are grinds, like kill 250 enemies, but SOME are diabolical. I still can’t get the accuracy one, but I did manage to get both Ace Pilot and Pacifist. Also, I’ll let you know if I ever manage to beat the game. :D

My advice: get the mouse sensitivity calibrated to a usable level then rebind shield to shift or something on the keyboard. Use the mouse for shooting (LMB), boosting (RMB), and turning (mouse movement), then shield when necessary with the other hand.

Chronolapse

Well, Chronolapse, my time lapse program, has reached its first release. Click over to the project page for more details. It is a pretty thorough windows time-lapse and stop-motion solution.

I’d really like to get some good looking sample time lapses made with Chronolapse up on youtube and linked from the project page, so if you use it and have something good, send me a link!

DokuWiki Plugin – Stars

I found a plugin called skill that I wanted for the muagames.com wiki that you can use to show a number of stars, like a 4 star difficulty. There were a lot of comments with good suggestions on its download page, but it hadn’t been updated since 2005. So I downloaded it, added all the good suggestions, added some features of my own, and cleaned the code up.

Evil League of Evil

So its true! They are now taking applications for the Evil League of Evil, so we can look forward to new Dr. Horrible episodes! For those of you who haven’t seen it STILL, go check it out on hulu.com now!

All you actor friends of mine need to get on the ball – Auditions end Oct 11, so I expect a properly bad-ass supervillian from each of you by then.
