About Me
My name is Collin Green. I’m a 23 year old coder. I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas in December 06 with a BS (lol) in Computer Science, cum laude + collegium V (our school wide honors program).
Right now I have my own mortgage processing business and lately I have been designing corporate web applications. They money isn’t great (yet!) but it’s hard to beat working at home.
Ideally when programming I work in python for fat clients and PHP for web apps (strong typing be damned!). I was taught java in school, but after finding python I just feel sorry for it. C++ boggles my mind still — you all have fun with your segfaults, I’ll work on my program.
Unfortunately, one of my coding goals is to get into indy game development. I might like to work at a big name game company, but my inexperience in C firmly blocks the way. That leaves the totally un-funded indy road, and I have laid out the plans for a small game dev group that I’m hoping actually goes somewhere. (Hobbyists unite!
